Course Number: ATL 542
Course Title: Effective Lesson Design and Delivery
Course Instructor: Shirley Ann Smith
Session Schedule: Tuesday, 7 - 9 PM CST
Teaching is a complex activity requiring teachers to make hundreds of instructional decisions on a daily basis, integrating multiple elements such as professional judgment, knowledge of children, and assessment data. Using brain-based research on how students learn, participants in this course will learn how to design and deliver effective lessons and to improve teacher decision-making to maximize student learning in both non-digital and digital classrooms.
This course will provide opportunity to analyze and improve each participant’s knowledge, skills and professional attitudes regarding active teaching and learning through engagement in an action research project in their classrooms.
